Green Bay
Packers Tickets By
Seth Taylor
So you are looking to get Green Bay Packers
Season Tickets? So I am sure that you believe in the tooth fairy too,
huh? Well I don't know if you have heard yet but Green Bay
Packers tickets are some of the most difficult tickets to get in the
NFL.
You would think that such a small town would
not be able to pack out a stadium like that. But on the
contrary they do it game after game after game.
Besides
without football in Green Bay how would one pass the time?
Green
Bay is the 3rd oldest franchise in the NFL dating back to 1921, winning
3 Super Bowls. They are only 1 of 8 teams to win at least 3
Super Bowls winning in 1967, 1968, and 1997.
The
Packers are known to have some of the craziest, most die hard fans in
the NFL. In fact according to a study by ESPN the Packers were
considered to have the 2nd best fans in the NFL with only the
Pittsburgh Steelers barely beating them out. The Cleveland
Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Kansas City Chiefs round out the
top 5.
The study was according to 7 different
factors:
- Stadium
- Atmostphere of the stadium
- Live
and die factor - How hard the team takes a loss
- Traveling
road show factor - How well the team travels to away games
- Loyalty
when team sucks - Does the team stick with losers
- Hate
factor - Do other fans hate the team's fans. The
more hated the better
- Tailgate
factor - Tailgating big at home games?
- Home
fans' creativity - How creative are the fans in the stands
Because of the die hard fans in Green
Bay you better believe that you will have a heck of a time trying to
find tickets. The Green Bay Packers have a waiting list of
74,000.
This is more than the capacity of their
stadium Lambeau field, which holds 72,928! The waiting list
basically boils down to only about 35 years if you are looking to get
season tickets.
If you are looking to
get on the waiting list with hopes to secure season tickets before you
die you can do so by sending a written request including your name,
address, phone number, and the number of tickets requested (limited of
4) to the following:
Packers Ticket Office PO
Box 10628 Green Bay WI 54307-0628
However, if you don't want to wait 35
years to get tickets to the game there is still a chance that you can
make it to a game.
The first place that you want to
check is Ticketmaster. Huh? Okay,
didn't you just tell me how difficult it is to get tickets and that
they have a waiting list of 35 years. Yes, I know. But
you should always check to see if individual tickets are available,
because sometimes there are.
You don't believe
me? I was skeptical too until I checked myself about 3 or 4
games into the year. I went online thinking that I was
wasting my time to see what was available. But you never know until you try.
And you would never guess what I found.
Yep, tickets
were available for sale. This is not always the case but
check to be sure.
If tickets are not available
through Ticketmaster then your next step is to check a ticket
broker. There are a few brokers that I recommend with the top
choice being TicketNetwork
.
And
here's a
secret. The key to buying from a ticket broker is to NOT buy
the tickets way in advance. Contrary to popular opinion you
will usually get the best deal by buying about 5-7 days before the day
of the game.
This way you get a better price but you
still do not have to pay for expedited shipping charges. So
these are just a few of the ways to get Green Bay Packers tickets.
Here are some ticket
brokers
that I recommend. Here you can see a
more detailed
explanation of the ticket
brokers I suggest. RazorGator
